I'm important, I swear!

Well, term 3 (subsequently my last term in Samoa, sad face) "started" last week. I actually will be lucky to go to much school at all this term because I was "hired" (big into the quotation marks recently) to be a volunteer technical trainer (at least we think that is what the term is). Which basically means I am helping out with the new training group that comes in next week. Which also officially means I will have been in Samoa for exactly 2 years, holy cat's potatoes! Anywho, I am helping out, with my buddy Dylan, with the life and work training aspect of things. I am really excited about it because I have soooo much information to give to the new SPED (special education) volunteers. So that is neat. Other than that, I have pretty much been spending my time sitting on a bus going back and forth from apia to my village. Things be good and busy though, plan on being home beginning of Dec and making an east coast tour. anyone, who wants to join or wants to let me crash on their floor let me know. Love to you all

Laura, this is going to be a bit random. My name is Pat Lorimer and I lived in Samoa from 2003-2005 as a missionary. Since returning to the states I have started a non profit organization aimed at providing basic medical training in areas that don't have access to modern emergency medical services (like Samoa). I came across your blog while I was doing some research a few weeks ago and noticed your post about teaching CPR. I will actually be in Samoa in October (14th - 27th) teaching CPR, advanced first aid and bandaging, as well as some transportation techniques. I would love to use the CPR mannequins if possible. Can you tell me where I can get a hold of them? My email is matamualomia@gmail.com. I would love to exchange emails with you about the subject.

Thanks,

Pat
I actually sent an email to your fellow PC volunteer Sally, thinking it was you. I hope it didn't weird her out too much.

I'm taking an English writing class right now and our assignment was to write a paper on the worst blog site on the net. I decided to search if there would be anything on Samoa and your blog site came up with many others. It captured my attention because it was neat for me to see "palagi" people visit my country. Anyways, I noticed you were going to be doing an east coast tour. Not sure if you've done it already or not, but my family's home is open to you. I'm always trying to get my family to visit, since all my relatives are in the west.
